Originally planned to become a serious project, Dead Meat's first line-up in November 1993 was Josen (guitar/ vocals), Dinis B. (Bass/ Backing Vocals), Miguel B. (Drums) and Migas (Keyboards).
In September '96 the bands line-up is reduced due to the abandon of the keyboard player, Migas, who goes away without any kind of conflict or ideals confrontation. The keyboards are secured by Dinis and from this time on the band starts to delineate itself!

After some time, a female voice joins the line-up, Xana. The main intention of the band was to improve and give more originality to the sound.
On February '97 the band went to studio to record a demo-tape simple called as ‘Promo-tape '97' which contains 3 tracks. At this time the line-up was Dinis B. (Bass, Keyboards & Back Vocals), Xana (Vocals), Miguel B. (Drums) and Josen (Guitar & Vocals).
The promo-tape was followed by some live performances and one year later the band recorded a promo-track entitled "Reflections of Gore". Just before releasing this track the band thought something was missing so, with the entrance of Nuno (guitar) and Xana for the Keybords to the band founders Josen and Dinis B., the newly formed band decided to introduce some changes in lyrical and musical contents! At this time Miguel leave and the band decided to include a drum programmer.
In the Beginning of 2001 the band finishes its last arrangements and by the end of February the band went to Rec'n'Roll Studios to record 4 tracks for the MCD called "Neurotic..." with a more powerful sound the band shows how to mix a weird touch of melody with anger and brutality ...after a while the band broke up and Dinis and Xana get out for personal reasons.
Nuno and Josen make all the efforts to go on with the band and after 2 years of silence they release the debut MCD "I Liberate Your Soul to Condemn Your Flesh" out in January 2004; now sounding into a more brutal Death-Metal way the band finally reach some purposes for its existence.
Released under Murderekords, this was limited to 300 copies and come with 3 tracks, "Just Mutilated...", "Invaded by Worms" and "Fasciitis Necrotizing" that shows a new stage of Dead Meat's brutality! In the beginning of 2004 a former member Dinis re-enter to the band as vocalist, so at that time the present line-up were: Josen (Guitar), Nuno (Guitar), Dinis B. (Vocals).

The new release is on the way, entitled as "Gory Artwork", this MCD contains 5 brandnew tracks and a Dying Fetus Cover.
