We are a band from the South of Brazil, more specifically, Porto Alegre. We had our first reunion in the Autunm of 2003 and since that time we've had too many integrants until we find the ideal formation. The band was figured out for James McCoe and Rafael, the brothers who got together to make good music. That year, the so called "emo" music was in the begining. There were not that much bands that sounds that playing the same song all the time. And, there were not too many bands that seems to got out from a funeral and preaching that life's a bad thing. They thought "man, why do musics are so down? Don't we have so many sad things in the world happening all around us, and they - these groups - instead of making something usefull, they complain, they cry, they show a pessimist vision of life, turning into black a already grey landscape. We'll try to make something different. Let's do music to react against it". That was the principal goal of the band - to make good music and, at same time, make people have fun and listen to the lyrics which talk about things that happen all around us and we are not realizing it. Music is celebration, for sure, but you can make the music an instrument to feed the mind and soul. Intelligent music and funny too. They looked after inspiration in eighties music. That musics, which some people say wrongly that they were empty and useless, in that decade appeared bands which are active nowadays. Bands that made difference as U2. Bands that mixed different music styles into one as UB40. Bands that took a stand and decided fight for a better world against the prejudice, the hungry, the war. And they used a dancing and grooving way to pass their message in the music. Good songs. It was a time of inovation, the music was being re-invented to spread its wings to many others directions. If in the seventies, the protest music was against the Vietnam War, in the eighties, they focused in a internal war, in the survival fight of urban men, the religion civil war in the Ireland, the opression of a new working class, the doubt about the American Dream, the war and the dry countries in Africa. This' what the McCoe is looking for - the back of conscience, the fight for freedom of the chains of thoughts which don't work anymore in the tecnological age that we are living. We live in a free world with ancient rules. Under the fear of AIDS, aeroplane crashes in buildings, under the constant menace of a biological war breaks through at any time can destroy all the hope and dreams we have for a better future. We can't wait that happen and have our ideals stolen for those fears. We have to make a stand. And we can make it of a different way. Music against the angry speaches. Flowers against the fists. Hugs against the gun machines. Love against the hate. Understanding against the prejudice. The world never will be perfect as we imagine it should be. But, if you make your part, for it small that it seems, you are already fighting. When you don't fight back as your enemy is waiting for, you are already change that situation, using an efficient weapon - the surprise element. The love, the happiness, the friendship build more bridges and seed others points of view. We are trying to seed in a shallow nd dry ground. But, if anyone do that, it will be as an epidemic action. We need it. We must to have hope in the future. We deserve it. Fight for your right of being yourself and to have a better life.
